About Me

Hi there! I am Marcello Marrocos, Software Architect, passionate about Technology, DevOps, and Cloud.

Natural from Brazil, I currently work for InterAmerican Development Bank in Washington, DC, as an IT Consultant, where I believe that my contribution is part of a significant effort to improve Latin America’s lives.

Before joining IADB, I worked for companies such as Avanade and Accenture, attending customers in different areas, with experience in roles of development, operations, architecture, cloud, and project management.

Avid participant of Meetups and DevOps Days, I'm continuously looking for opportunities to learn and share knowledge, believing that this is the base for a continuous improvement.

When not working, I'm either playing videogames, watching movies, listening to my vinyl collection, or writing articles related to DevOps, Cloud & IT Career.

Meetups

Avid participant of Meetups in Washington, DC, area. My must go ones are DevOps DC, .NET DC User Group, Microsoft DC Azure, and .AWS Washington DC

A few months ago I had the opportunity to give a talk on "Risk - Another Perspective" at DevOps DC.

Presentations at Work

Part of some self improvement activities, I engaged on extra activities at work involving presentations on IT Department Townhall. This is helpful for network with coworkers, as well as improve my communication skills and sharing knowledge.

DevOps Days

DevOps Days is one of the best conferences for networking and engagement withe the community. I attended the sessions in Baltimore and DC, in 2019, and NYC in 2020, where I had the opportunity to collaborate as volunteer. I also had a talk selected for Baltimor 2020, but unfortunatelly it was cancelled due the pandemic.
